Mandarin Oriental Residences
At the heart of the Mandarin Oriental Residences in Mayfair, bespoke lighting plays a key role in elevating the understated luxury of the penthouse and duplex interiors.
Set high above Hanover Square, with commanding views across London’s skyline, this one-of-a-kind penthouse is a sanctuary of calm and refinement – wrapped in glass, bathed in natural light, and brought to life through masterful design.
The brief called for contemporary lighting with a strong sense of texture – pieces that would complement the architectural clarity of the space while adding artistic depth. For this project, we developed two signature chandeliers, each tailored to its unique setting yet unified by a refined design language.
In the dining room, a custom chandelier made from slumped glass brings sculptural dimension to the space. The organically cut glass components form a bold geometric structure, where subtle texture meets clean form. The result is a centrepiece that feels both modern and tactile – catching light in delicate ripples and casting soft, elegant reflections throughout the room.

For the living room, we customised Glacier, our collection inspired by the quiet power of floating icebergs. The design captures the crystalline clarity and asymmetrical beauty of glacial formations, with geometric glass elements arranged in an organic flow. Clear and frosted finishes interact with the light to evoke a sense of stillness and purity, offering a refined contrast to the surrounding materials and colour palette.

The interiors were brought to life by Studio Indigo, a London-based firm known for their sophisticated residential and yacht designs. Their vision introduced curvature and fluidity to balance the penthouse’s linear architecture – creating an immersive space where art, light, and material coexist in harmony.
Together, these two installations speak to a shared vision: modern craftsmanship grounded in natural inspiration. While each chandelier holds its own character, both contribute to a cohesive aesthetic that honours texture, form, and the quiet elegance expected of a Mandarin Oriental interior.
