A new variety by Sans Souci, first bloomed in London, June 2026
This bloom feels like that first breath after the rain.
The air is suddenly lighter – washed clean and filled with a quiet freshness. Raindrops linger on petals and leaves, catching sunlight as the clouds begin to part. Soft, golden beams break through, finding the drops still suspended in the air. For a moment, light and water meet, and the first hint of a rainbow appears.
Dahlia 'After Rain' is Sans Souci's first ever bloomed dahlia. It captures the world after storm, refreshed and full of possibility.
ABOUT INSTALLATION
The Dahlia "After Rain" installation is a new interpretation of Sans Souci's signature Switch collection by Petr Vacek. The design was created using a special generative system – a set of scripted rules defining the relationships between form, pattern, and motion. Each glass component follows its own rules, resulting in a composition that feels both precise and fluid, evoking the organic pattern of flower petals.
The installation is crafted from premium flat and slumped glass, enhanced with rose and iridescent AB nanocoating – Sans Souci's signature ultra-thin, reflective layer of metal that transforms glass into a living canvas of light. Dynamic lighting completes the composition, bringing it to life.
