Our lighting installation sought to redefine the atmosphere of the hotel’s restaurant, transforming it into a contemporary reinterpretation of a New York brasserie.

Located in the heart of Paris’s Marais district, long known for its artistic heritage, Hotel Experimental Marais sits within one of the capital’s most vibrant quarters. Created in collaboration with the interior design team of Tristan Auer, Sans Souci’s lighting installation sought to redefine the atmosphere of the hotel’s restaurant, transforming it into a contemporary reinterpretation of a New York brasserie.
The brief called for a custom lighting installation to match the restaurant’s rich tonal palette and textural contrasts. Designed by Jiří Svoboda, three circular installations, each measuring 1.6 metres in diameter, anchor the dining room. Viewed from below, their form reveals three interconnected circles arranged across two layers, creating a striking visual effect.
Hand-blown and sandblasted glass components encircle brushed stainless steel finished in warm bronze. The result is a luxury interior lighting installation that glows with warmth, casting layered shadows across the space and evoking the intimacy of a Manhattan dining room.
