Villa Roma
Our two bespoke chandelier installations were each tailored to the spirit of its space, and to the character of a city that understands beauty without excess.
For Villa Roma, we developed two signature lighting installations for a private residence in Rome. The interiors are soft and curated – a setting that called for pieces with genuine artistic presence rather than decorative afterthought. Each chandelier, approaching three metres in length, was selected and refined specifically for its room, its proportions, and the way natural and artificial light moves through the space during the day.
In the dining room, we introduced a customised version of Flamenco – a collection that draws from the energy and form of Andalusian dance. Handblown pieces in crystal with soda, light amber, and light tobacco hues are arranged in a dynamic composition. The installation commands the room without overpowering it. The warm tonal palette of the glass integrates naturally with the richness of the surrounding interior.
In the living room, the Contour installation, rendered in crystal clear and opal mist, is designed around the interplay of light and silhouette. The gilded finish catches both daylight and ambient light with subtlety, tracing the organic outline of each piece rather than announcing it. Clustered at scale, the installation reads as a single breathtaking composition.
Together, the two installations form a dialogue between movement and stillness, grounded in the same commitment to handcrafted quality and spatial sensitivity. Developed in close collaboration with A2T, both designs create an integral layer of the interior itself.
